The FAN Meat division of Livestock Products Namibia will kick off with its annual farm inspections next week.  These inspections are done to ensure that producers meet the FAN Meat standards.  Along with producers, transporters of livestock, auction agents, feedlots, and export abattoirs are also inspected.  The FAN Meat standards are used as a marketing tool to assure Namibian exported meat consumers that the meat meets minimum export standards.
